Following the Breadcrumbs – A BD Success Story
As a testament to following a thread in a single conversation from a general networking setting to see it to fruition, we have captured the following story.
The moral of this story is that you never know with whom you will enter a conversation at a networking event.
Dawn F. Landry, Authentizity’s Founder and CEO, met HCSS Vice President of Strategic Initiatives and Customer Solutions, Tom Webb, in December of 2018 at a City of Sugar Land Legacy Luncheon.
In their initial discussion, they were both curious to learn more about the others’ respective businesses. Their follow up digitally on social media and through shared contact information via email correspondence led to identified synergistic opportunities between their firms.
In particular, HCSS launched HCSS Pre-Construction, a fully customizable, web-based program to help its 4,000 nationwide customers manage accounts and projects anticipated for the future. HCSS Pre-Construction is furthering the evolution of the heavy civil industry’s advancement into more qualifications-based, alternative delivery methods. These procurement processes drive a more formalized business development program.
Authentizity has developed and delivered business development coaching and training solutions to the vertical construction industry’s technical teams by leveraging Landry’s more than 27 years of commercial/corporate real estate and construction business development expertise. They viewed these offerings as complimentary services and not a coincidence.
